Group CUO to leave Canopius in 2023
Twelve months from now, Mike Duffy, Canopius Group's chief writing officer, is retiring from global specialty reinsurance.
“Mike made a significant impact on Canobius during his tenure, which helps shape the company that is growing today,” said Neil Robertson, CEO of Canobius Group. “He has been a mentor and supporter to the businesses of many underwriters in our market.
"On behalf of our leadership team and everyone on Canopius, I would like to express our deep gratitude for his many efforts and continued contributions, and we extend our best wishes for the coming year."
The London-based industry leader, who has been in the insurance business for more than four decades, entered Canobius in January 2006. His previous roles included CEO of Canobius executive agencies.
Meanwhile, Duffy's heir will be announced in due course.
Canobius has written operations in the UK, US, Australia, Bermuda, China and Singapore.
